A terrible fire has burnt Perdido Beach to the ground, and in the flames, the kids see the person they hoped they would never see again; Drake Merwin. But that's not possible. Drake is dead.
I found Lies more political and less gruesome than the earlier books in the series. It was great, but the best is yet to come in Plague, the next book in the series.
