One day, Coco and Marcelle find a lost soldier who is blind from the war in the woods. They bring food to the soldier and he shows them a little silver donkey. He tells them story, each relating to the donkey. Marcelle shows Pascal, her and Coco's brother who then tells his friend, Fabrice who can help the soldier go home to his sick brother.
Sorry that I haven't been on your blog in some time Mia! I thoroughly enjoyed this book when I first read it, especially the way it was set-up and the soldier told the children three stories. Now there is a big lie in the book, did you figure it out? I'd love to hear what you think the lie is....
ReplyDeleteHi Con. Sorry, I read this book so long ago that I barely remember what happened, but I do remember that I didn't spot anything odd about this book when I was reading it. I might be able to read it again and keep and eye out for the lie.
